“Styling Internship 101: What You Need to Know”

Hello Lovelies,

I wanted to share some tips for styling students – the essentials you need before joining or starting work as a fashion stylist intern. Now that you’ve decided to work as a fashion stylist, there are things you need to be aware of before diving in.

You can’t simply apply for an internship without understanding the necessity of styling essentials. You need to acquire detailed information about various fashion designers, their creations, and what inspires them. For instance, Sabyasachi Mukherjee is renowned for Indian Bridal wear, and Anita Dongre is famous for Global Desi, a boho-chic line, as well as ready-to-wear and western wear.

There are numerous aspiring designers with admirable garment creations, spanning from fast fashion to sustainable fashion. Additionally, there are jewelry designers and their creations, such as Minerali, Blue Stones, Isharya Bandra West, and Popley. You must also familiarize yourself with their work schedules.

Always carry your styling kit, whether you’re working or not. Here’s a list of items that should be in your styling kit, as these are essential when working as a fashion styling intern or assistant stylist:
