The benefits of coconut milk for hair and skin are amazing. Coconut milk contains natural fatty acids and has extremely moisturizing effects. It can restore dry hair and scalp, acting as a conditioner for damaged hair.

Coconut milk contains antioxidants and is rich in vitamins C and E. It’s not only used as a scrub, cleanser, and toner but also helps enhance your natural beauty, making your skin even more stunning and radiant.

Ways to use Coconut milk for hair and skin.

This is my method of using coconut milk for dry, coarse hair – tried and tested. My maternal aunt, who has coarse hair due to coloring her hair twice a month, was experiencing extreme dryness, dullness, and roughness. I applied coconut milk to her hair and asked her to rinse it out after 45 minutes (you can leave it on longer if desired). After the first wash, her hair felt smoother, gained shine, and her curls were revitalized.

Coconut milk used as Cleanser

  • Gently massage for about 5 minutes.
Once dry, you can scrub your face and neck with your hands for a few seconds.
  • Wash your face with lukewarm water.
  • Avoid using soap or face wash.
Pat your face dry with a towel.
  • Coconut milk moisturizes and nourishes your skin.

The fragrance of coconut milk helps you feel calm and relaxed, giving you a mild coconut scent that lasts all day long. It’s truly amazing.

How to use coconut milk on hair.

1. Start by getting fresh coconut and adding grated coconut to a blender or mixing jar.

2. Blend the fresh coconut by adding 1/2 cup of water (use water to achieve a paste-like consistency) to obtain fresh, thick milk.

3. Strain the mixture using a cheesecloth, muslin cloth, or strainer. Collect the first extract in a bowl or glass; this is the thick coconut milk.

4. Once you have extracted enough milk from the coconut, you can either use 1 hair serum capsule or directly apply the milk to your hair.

5. Apply the coconut milk to your damp hair, from the scalp to the ends.

6. Gently massage your scalp to promote better blood circulation, aiding hair growth and reducing muscle tension.

7. Cover your hair with a shower cap or towel for about 30-45 minutes.

8. Wash your hair using a mild shampoo.

9. Pat your hair dry with a towel or let it air-dry naturally.

10. Avoid using a hair dryer.

11. Use your hands or a towel to scrunch your hair, helping to define your curls.

You can try this method twice a week or once a week (as I did with my aunt, twice a week).

This method is gentle on your hair and helps volumize your curls while keeping frizz under control.

😍Happy Curls. Happy Hair. 😍😍😍😍😍😍
